Activities on Summer vacation

Our central location is an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling tours. Marked trails with a total length of approximately 500 kilometers, 300 mountain lakes, 50 mountain huts and snack stations guarantee endless possibilities for marching. With the Planai cable car you reach the Planai mountain trail on the fastest way with beautiful views of the Dachstein Massif.

A special highlight is the offer for long-distance hikers "Hiking without Luggage": On the famous Dachstein-Tauern panoramic tour Number 100 passionate hikers can  enjoy the scenery for several days without having to worry about heavy luggage. The Schladming-Rohrmoos Tourism Center organizes the transport of all backpacks or travel bags from station to station. Hikers can stay traveling in inns and B & Bs.

As a special experience we can recommend a visit to the largest waterfall of Styria the "Wild Waters". The alpine trail through the "Höll", takes you across numerous stairs, walkways and a stunning suspension bridge along to "Gfölleralm" on "Riesachsee".

In the nearby "Schladming Erlebnisbad", you can have cooling waters at hot temperatures, enjoy free admission with your Sommercard.

If you´ll have after a hard day of hiking the desire to visit a sauna, the pool with its sauna landscapes is the perfect focal point for a small supplement.

Sauna strengthens the immune system, opens the pores and improves blood circulation. You have panoramic,
Finnish, Bio and Herbal sauna. Similarly, a brine evaporator, spruce parlor, steam baths, infrared cabins and relax rooms and bedrooms finish your pleasure.

In winter, the slalom artists, in summer the mountain cracks. The final slope of the Planai is the object of desire. Fast, faster fastest it applies to the drivers in the "Formula 1" of mountainbiking at the 4.5 km long route on the Planai. Top speeds of up to 70 km / h and jump distances of 20 meters are common practice in the downhill.

Just 50 meters away from our house, is the entry into the Planai cable car and there begins the downhill fun!

On a go-kart or wood carriage goes it all the way back down into the valley (40 km / h). The ascent is comfortable with the Hochwurzen cable car, which you can use for free with your Sommercard. On your go-cart hire, you will receive a 20% discount.

The Bernhard Langer 18-hole golf course in the area around Schladming offers one of the most beautiful golf courses in Austria.

Right near the Planai cable car top station there is the "Abenteuerpark Planai" - a high ropes course with 40 different stations. Embark on an exciting journey through the treetop!

Te more adventurous and daring can not be missing canyoning and rafting on vacation. Lots of fun guaranteed on the 7.5 km long first summer toboggan run in the world on the Hochwurzen.
