nature in abundance
Our central location is an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling
tours. Marked trails with a total length of approximately 500
kilometers, 300 mountain lakes, 50 mountain huts and snack stations
guarantee endless possibilities for hikers.
With the help of the Planai gondola – which is just one minute from us – you are just a short ride away from a hike on the Planai that will treat you to wonderful views of the Dachstein Massif. If you are surefooted and have a head for heights, you might also wish to consider a hiking tour to the top of the Krahbergzinken.
The exciting hiking trails of "Wild Waters" lead you out from Schladming, deep into Untertal and Obertal . Talbachklamm Gorge in Schladming serves as the gateway to these astonishing worlds of water.
A walk through the Talbachklamm is rewarding no matter what the time of year, or make it just the first leg of an all-day hike to the Riesachsee in Untertal. One highlight of this tour and a truly special experience is the biggest waterfall in Styria.
Yet another highlight is an alpine trail through the so-called "Höll": numerous stairs and paths as well as a breathtaking suspension bridge eventually bring you to the Gfölleralm on the shore of the Riesachsee. We recommend returning along the forestry road.
